Morgan appeared alongside other actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women that focuses on AIDS prevention as well as education. The proceeds from the film was donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the main force behind many fund-raising campaigns for the spread of the disease. She also spoke before a Congressional special committee on AIDS education. Morgan is on the Board of Governors of APLA, and of Amfar's Board of Directors. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has been asked to be his substitute in AIDS events and she has been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special together with anchorman Steve Bell. Morgan has been on Nightline with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan is nominated as one of the Emmy winner for Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written especially for Morgan. In the spring, she starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Her summer started by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also starred Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Morgan's next production sent her to Luxembourg to star in Harmony Gold's production of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the psychological suspense thriller which was produced exclusively by the USA Network garnering one of the highest ratings ever recorded by the network's history.
